HIRES LOCAL ATTORNEY TO OPEN
BRANCH OFFICE IN CORALVILLE

American Bank & Trust Company, headquartered in Davenport, Iowa, has
announced plans to expand into the Johnson County market. The Bank
recently began construction of a 7,600 square foot branch office at the corner
of Highway 6 and 22nd Avenue in Coralville, Iowa. The new full service facility is scheduled to open later this summer with eight employees.

American Bank & Trust currently operates seven full service branches in
the Quad Cities and Kane County, Illinois, and will be opening two additional
branches in the Quad Cities and one additional branch in Kane County in
2005. The company focuses on one stop shopping for all its clients’
financial needs, including: retail banking, mortgages and commercial lending
services as well as complete trust, investment brokerage & insurance solutions.

The Bank recently hired Nathan Koch to assist them in entering into the Johnson County market. Mr. Koch, an Iowa native and graduate of the University of Iowa Law School, will serve as Executive Vice President & Johnson County Market Manager. According to Mr. Koch, “We believe that our ability to serve all of our clients’ financial needs, delivered with personal customer service, will be well received in the Iowa City-Coralville market.”
